Genius is everywhere. Knowing that, NextDayBetter proudly introduces our first international NextDayBetter speaker series, with our first international city: London, UK!

Below, get the lo-down on the woman helping plot this world-shaking adventure: NextDayBetter’s London City Curator, Rina Atienza!

RINA ATIENZA (@EevilMidget):
A socio-cultural historian who mobilises the world in more meaningful
ways, by bringing people together via schemes of civic fellowship &
planned spontaneity.

HOMETOWN:
London & Manila

I MAKE THE NEXT DAY BETTER:
By continually learning new skills and gaining knowledge.
Seeking to experience the world for myself, but then to share all that
cultural capital with others. Being thankful, hopeful, striving to
keep a light burning, not quitting.

FAILURE PITCH:
There have been several, and there’s probably more to come. The
lessons vary. The game of life is a process of iteration in which we
better ourselves. For each game over, the options are to continue, learn
and level up, or quit. It’s all Groundhog Day, but we can choose to be
cool like Bill Murray.

PITCH ON INNOVATION:
I’m excited about a ‘Revenge of the Humanities.’
It’s always been about defining humanity beyond the material world.
Technology is this red herring of progress, because what’s universally
important concerns the heart and soul.
